Follow the Butterflies

I've noticed a number of small, yellow-greenish butterflies flitting about in the past few weeks, so I colored one for a card!

The stylized butterfly is stamped in Memento London Fog on Gina K Deluxe Card stock...my favorite for coloring with Copics. And yes, I colored with a couple of the 9 Copic markers I own. Go, Me!
What are your favorite spring critters? I smelled skunk the other night when I took Daisy out for a walk. Skunks are not my favorites...but they can be cute--and scentless--on stamps!

Supplies
stamps: PTI Modern Basics
ink: Memento
paper: Gina K
accessories: Copics

  1. I very much like this card. I have been seeing this greeny-yellow everywhere lately, and I like it, too.

  2. What a happy card. Good for you using your Copics! Spring critters - well, I'd have to say some of the birds that return: Mr. Brown Thrasher, Goldfinches and the Indigo Buntings.

  3. mmm, skunk...plenty of those around here lately too. Thank goodness none come close enough for the dog to get involved! I love seeing robins return, and even though they're still here through the winter, the blue jays, chickadees, and woodpeckers are out & about more now.
Love the greeny-yellow shading of your butterfly - besides the stylized wings, that's exactly what they look like :)

  4. For some reason, my CAS/OL cards do NOT come out looking like yours. This is new territory for me...so love the CAS look, and I can get it w/ layers but the one-layer thing, well, it just isn't working yet.

Love ALL these...and love your commentaries even more!!

  5. Sweet card! May I ask which Copics you own? I'm really curious.

  7. If Hagrid ever gets out of Azkaban, he'll love this card . . . as do I :).

  9. I love seeing the spring bird migrants. We have 4 bunnies hanging out on the lawn-making a mess of the struggling grass!

Such a pretty card-I don't do greens very well-guess it's time to turn over a new leaf!

  10. A perfect spring card, Susan. It's a bit early for butterflies up here in Vancouver, Canada - my favourite spring critters are all the birds that come back after the winter away. They are all so busy right now, feeding, building nests, chirping away. And the hummingbirds are back too! I love this time of year!
